Botanical Medicine

Botanical / herbal medicine is a traditional medical practice based on the use of plants and plant extracts. Many plants synthesize substances that are useful to the maintenance of health. Different ingredients present in herbs will interact to enhance the therapeutic effects and dilute toxicity.

Clinical Nutrition

Naturopathic application of clinical nutrition involves the use of dietetics and specific nutritional substances for the prevention and treatment of the individual, the correction of dietary inadequacies and the promotion of wellness. With appropriate dietary modification and nutritional supplements, health concerns can be treated with fewer complications and side effects.

Homeopathic Medicine

The Philosophy of Homeopathic medicine interprets diseases as caused by disturbances in the “vital force”. Homeopathic remedies are made from specific dilutions of plant, animal and mineral substances. They are effective to stimulate the body’s “vital force” and improve innate healing forces on both the physical and emotional levels, with few side effects.

Lifestyle Counseling

Mental health and physical health are interdependent. Sickness can be prevented through good physical and mental hygiene such as a wholesome diet, adequate exercise, the abstinence from tobacco and drugs, relaxation and stress management. Addressing on these factors and identifying their impacts on a patient’s health are important aspect of naturopathic treatment.

Physical Medicine

Physical medicine aims to enhance and restore the body’s functional ability. Emphasis is placed on the optimization of function through the combined use of physical training, therapeutic exercise, soft tissue work (including therapeutic massage), hydrotherapy, diathermy, and gentle electrical impulses, etc.

Traditional Chinese Medicine

Traditional Chinese medicine is based on the philosophy that the human body is a small universe with a set of complete interconnected systems that usually work in balance to maintain the healthy function of the human body. The methods of treatment include acupuncture, Tui-Na, Cupping, Gua-Sha, Moxa, Chinese herbology, and Chinese food therapy, etc. These treatments have been applied for over two thousand years and have proven to be very effective especially for pain relief and chronic illness.
